Volume Work-sheet

Question is from Stephanie: How do you find the height on #3?
Answer: Use Pythagorean Theorem, where the given slant height (17 ) is the hypotenuse and half of the width of the base (half of 15= 7.5) is one of the legs of the right triangle.

Hi Kiera,
Yes, the triangle is the base. So, you have to find its Perimeter "P" and its Area "B" to plug into the formula.
It is a right triangle with hypotenuse= 5, Legs= 3 and 4.
So the area of the triangle is bh/2and therefore 3*4/2 = 6
Keep up the good work :)
